A Crazy Quilted Pouch to Share and My Garden

What's the thing that just makes your heart leap every time you do it?

For me it is being able to go in to my sewing room
and create a gift to match the love and appreciation in my heart for someone.

I finished this crazy quilted pouch this week for my spiritual mentor from afar ~ Paula White.
This woman's ministry has been the salve during some very difficult times in my life.
The other times I have seen her has been in big venues in NYC with thousands of people but
Fri night and this morning she was at a local church
I knew I'd be able to get this to her quite easily.
I sure hope she likes it!

This is a Vintage Hanky Mini Quilt I made several years ago.
When I put the roses in front of it ~ I noticed they matched the ones on the bottom hanky perfectly!

Teddi and Daisy .......
(who have been known to practically fight to the death over food)

.......  sharing!!!!!

Hear that???? It's the fat lady singing
See that??? The man jumping over the moon!

Awwww ~ the last of the foxglove. If I'm lucky I will get a few blooms in late August.
Check out the bloom on the left ~ I have never seen a foxglove bloom Up like that before ~ have you?

Can't you just see the tiny garden Faeries scrambling into each bloom just before the crack of dawn.

Have a Beautiful Week-end......

Remember how special you are ~ there's NO ONE just like you.
Hold your pretty head Up ~ straighten that back
Feel Proud to be YOU!

I feel the same way about making a gift for someone special, it's what puts joy in my heart, and a prayer in every stitch. Your wall hanging is so pretty and the roses look like they bloomed just to match. Love your sharing pooch picture! And the flowers! Oh my! I love foxglove, mine didn't come back this year so I'll just enjoy yours!! Have a blessed day Terri!

Hi Terri,

I don't have your email address on this computer and didn't want to turn the big one on so I thought I'd just come to say thanks for the lovely comments you left for me.

First, your pouch is gorgeous! So feminine!!! I love your little furbabies too. How cute! And your foxgloves are amazing. I've never had any luck with them.

As for the hand dyed vintage lace, I think God is trying to tell me something as I've had several ladies ask if I might consider offering some hand dyed vintage lace again in my Etsy shop. LOL!!! I can take a hint. I'll also some some silk ribbon, some fabrics and other things as well.

So many of my readers have told me that they just don't have access to some of the great vintage supplies that I do and I think it would be nice to offer such.

Thank you Terri, I think the angels were speaking through you!

LOVE the picture of them sharing. Your Pouch is amazing ~ I still use and treasure the Gorgeous crazy quilt eyeglass case that you made.

AND ~ I used the red, white and blue ribbon that you sent me to decorate for 4th of July. Do you remember it?

Terri you did such a great job on the pouch. It looks like one of Pats and that is the highest compliment I can pay.

I envy you your foxgloves. I have bought them so many years and theynever come back. For the last few years I have bought pots and just kept them on the deck because I love them so.

Hello Terri, I was going thru my favorites list today because I was going to delete it from my blog, when I came across your blog. I have not been in here for so long to visit and I am very sorry about that. I can see now that I have indeed missed much. I came upon this beautiful pouch that you created and I was just in awe. This is so lovely and I am sure that the woman that you gave it to loves it.
I am going to follow you so I don't miss anymore than I have. You have been missed, Char
