To My Blogging Friend's

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another:What! You too? I thought I was the only one."C. S. Lewis

In Loving Memory of my cousin Paul ~ we are SO proud of you

Heart defect cuts short bright future on May 27th.

"He was a leader, a caring father and husband who inspired others through his perseverance and faith. And by the time he died at just 23, Paul Trader had accomplished things that would have made men twice his age proud.
Sunday afternoon, he succumbed to the congenital heart failure he'd fought much of his life. It happened while he was napping in his mother's Arnold home in the middle of a day that was filled with church activities.
A fixture on the Anne Arundel Community College campus, he lived in Annapolis with his wife Michele and their 1-year-old daughter Callie.
Mr. Trader never let the heart disease slow him down.
He was Student Association president at AACC from 2003 to 2005. In those two years, he managed to make an enduring impression on the school and its students. His friends remember a simple walk across campus with Mr. Trader took much longer than usual because of all of the students, faculty and staff he knew.

About a week before he died, he graduated University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he earned his bachelor's degree in biotechnology."

Spring has finally Sprung in my garden in Ct.

My yard in finally in bloom. This is my favorite place to work out my frustrations, feel my greatest joy, and pretend to see fairy's lounging on flower petals! Sometimes I pretend I live on a country estate ~ until I I catch a view of our local Friendly restaurant on the busy street behind my yard! (look just to the right of my bird bath) The busy street I speak of is called Rubber Avenue ~ so named because Naugatuck was the home of Charles Goodyear. At one time the rubber factory's dominated our town. Soon a wonderful redevelopment plan will break ground. Where those factory's once stood will be upscale shopping, movie theater, a green way along the Naugatuck River and a state of the art energy plant that will provide power to the project. The developer Mr. Conroy recently completed Providence Place in Providence ,R.I. I can't wait !!!!

Kitchen Redo Update

It's ALMOST done! I am so pleased with the farmer sink! I purchased it on e-bay at an amazing price! The door to the left is my new pantry. I choose a Sherwin Williams paint color called livable green for the kitchen and adjoining dining area. It is a minty green that my daughter Ashley liked best. Every guy that has seen the color loves it and comment's on it. Do you like the tile?I am hoping to have it up in a week or so. I purchased in stock tile yet this turned out to be much more costly than I thought it would be.This week-end we have to stain and finish the pine floor ~ hopefully we will have a working stove next week! More than anything I miss my cup of tea in the morning , late night popcorn and cinnamon toast! I packed away our popcorn maker and toaster and can't find them in all the boxes. More updates soon!
