Even though we are into our 3rd week of rain here in New England ~ with a few sunny exceptions ~
my garden is managing to keep producing it's beautiful show.

Lupine .....

and a Foxglove jungle are making me smile through the rain drops!

These are not such great shots of my tiny veggie garden but wanted to show you something ~

the Willow Edging and Red Water Catchers under the tomatoes plants are in Gardeners Catalog

~ http://www.gardeners.com/ and somewhat pricey.

I got them at our local Job Lot last year for a few dollars each!

The water catchers even have the Gardeners name on them!

Keep your eyes open ~ it's surprising what you can find at those kind of stores.

These Candy Striped Roses smell like Christmas Ribbon Candy!

Pieces Of Friendship Puzzle Swap

I have had a BLAST participating in the " Pieces of Friendship Puzzle Swap" hosted by Pat Winter.

I decided to do a sample of my favorite kinds of fabrics.

First is this fabric by Jane A. Sassaman. I simply beaded it and backed it with felt.

For my 2ND one I used the silks I have used in every project I have worked on the last month!

Such cheerful spring colors ~ it was hard to put down.

This was crazy quilted and embellished with beads, silk ribbon and trims.

The 3rd one was made with my reproduction fabrics.

They remind me off 1940's Mom's with crisp aprons and Pledge in one hand and a fresh bakes pie in the other!

My 4Th isn't quite done but I wanted to get this posted!

I cut tiny pieces of my favorite cottage /shabby fabrics and made a little patchwork quilt.

I did some fancy stitches on my embroidery machine and finished it off with some old buttons.

My layer sandwhich consisted off the top piece, muslin, shirt taylor interfacing, wonderunder and felt as a baking. The shirt taylors was ironed to the muslin and the wonderunder ironed to the felt .

I also used fray check on all edges before I started sewing as some of the other participants did.

I hope to have these off to Pat by the end of the week!

Oh LOOK what I found in my garden this week-end!

There is no turning back ~ spring is on it's way!!!!

A Happy Miscellany Swap ~ received

This is all the cool stuff I received from Christi at Charmed I'm Sure http://charmed-charmedimsure.blogspot.com/ It includes a small scrapbook that does not seem so overwhelming to sit and do in an evening and some cute Halloween motif's. It has inspired me to drag out my big scrapbooking bag on wheels and get cracking again! Thanks Chrisi!
